Dr. Antoni M. Wichryk, OD

Doctor of Optometry Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry

Dr. Wichryk is a 1997 honors graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, receiving his bachelors of science in microbiology in 1993. In 2013, Dr. Wichryk became one of the first board certified optometrists in Pennsylvania, and has since gone on to gain certifications in areas such as scleral lens fitting and corneal reshaping (orthokeratology). As a Doctor and a community member, Dr. Wichryk enjoys working with people and getting to know his patients and their families personally. “I started Wichryk Eye because I always wanted to have my own practice where I could provide the kind of care that I thought people deserved. I also wanted to be involved in the community that I live in and help the people I see every day.” When Dr. Wichryk is not providing eye care, you can find him enjoying sports, being outside (especially riding his bike at the beach), and spending time with his family.

Dr. Kristen Roseman, OD

Doctor of Optometry

As an optometrist, Dr. Roseman has been in practice for over 10 years. She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Lehigh University, then continuing on to receive a Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2003, where she earned honors in Professional Practice and Pediatrics. She completed a residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Feinbloom Center in 2004 where she received the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award. When shes not providing eye care, you can find her crafting, reading, watching science fiction, or playing outside with her girls. Kristen Roseman wants to live in a world where laundry is self folding and chocolate has no calories.

Geena Wichryk, ABOC

Optician, American Board of Opticianry Certification

Geena Wichryk, board-certified optician, possesses over 20 years of experience in the eye care industry. She holds a degree in ophthalmic science and has a background in design. Having both technical and design backgrounds enables her to provide patients with superior vision, looks, and fit. Geena specializes in working with patients’ unique visual needs and has the gift of educating each patient in easy to understand terms. She also has a special interest in children’s eyewear and has mastered the relationship between optician and child. She regularly fits children, including infants, and dispenses children’s sports safety eyewear as well. Geena enjoys guiding parents in making smart decisions about their child’s eyewear needs.

Laura Wesolowski, ABOC

Optician, American Board of Opticianry Certification

Laura Wesolowski, board-certified optician, possesses over 20 years of experience in eye care practices. Laura is the managing optician for our optical. She specializes in personalizing the eyewear fitting process to address each patient’s needs, both visually and cosmetically. She is a master at handling difficult adjustments and frame fittings. Laura looks to exceed your expectations with your eyewear and create a “wow” factor. Frames are brought to each patient to complement both the optics of the lenses to be inserted, and the facial features of the patient. No more of the patient picking their own frame without the knowledge of what will work best for them. Laura has created her own patient following who seek out her expertise and she is highly respected in the eye care industry.

Emily Costigan, ABOC

Optician

Coming from career in education, Emily joined our office in March of 2013 as an Optician. Her favorite thing about working at our office is helping patients with their first pair of glasses; from choosing a frame, to edging the lenses in-office, Emily facilitates the journey of your glasses from beginning to end. "With children, it is really amazing to witness the look on their faces when they see the world clearly for the first time with their new glasses. It's pretty inspiring." She has lived and traveled all over the world, and at one time she was a ranger's assistant at a koala sanctuary in Australia. In her free time, Emily loves reading anything by Tom Robbins or Elizabeth Gilbert, yoga, kayaking, and hiking with her  loveable Rottweiler, Tito.

lisa wilmer

Patient Care Coordinator

Lisa has been a patient at Wichryk Eye for many years before joining the staff  in 2015 and was always impressed by the care she received.  As one of our receptionists, her smiling face will greet you when you walk in our door or call on the phone.  She loves talking with patients and seems to know most of them as she has worked in Alburtis School District as an instructional assistant.  In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her two children going to the beach or watching movies.  She also enjoys cooking, reading, and would love to travel the world some day.

Leah Wright

Office Manager

If you have a question about your insurance, Leah is your go-to girl. As our Office Manager, Leah's goal is to stay organized and up to date with the constantly changing needs of our practice and the healthcare industry. "I want to help our patients to make informed, positive decisions when it comes to their insurance and their visits with us." She loves all of the unique styles and colors of eyewear that our office has to offer, but she's really drawn to a great cat-eye shape. In her free time, Leah has recently started to enjoy refinishing and restoring old furniture. She also loves to spend time with her children, husband, and Golden Doodle Shaggy.

Kim baab

Frame Stylist & Optometric Technician

Kim joined Wichryk Eye in March 2016 as an optometric technician.  With previous experience as a technician, Kim fit right in with our practice without missing a beat.  When she's not assisting patients on the clinical side of our office, you will see Kim in our optical boutique fitting and adjusting glasses.  Using her eye for balance and beauty (Kim was also a cosmetology instructor for 8 years) she'll guide you toward the best glasses for your features and lifestyle.  She loves fitting our patients with the latest styles and seeing the end results during eyeglass dispensing.  Kim has been married to her wonderful husband Jim for 22 years and they have 3 awesome kids together.  When not at the office, you can see Kim riding on the back of Jim's Harley or spending time with her family and 2 dogs, Bella and Oliver.

Jessica Bloch

Optometric Technician

Jess joined the staff at Wichryk Eye in October of 2015. With a career in healthcare that has spanned 15 years, Jess is a natural when it comes to patient care. She has worked with the elderly, dementia/Alzheimer patients and urgent care and is grateful for the learning opportunities each position has offered her. Jess enjoys the satisfaction she feels when helping people, and strives to make a positive difference in the health and well being of our patients. In April 2016, Jess finalized the adoption of her two young boys that she has been a foster parent for. She admits they keep her on her toes, and she likes to spend her free time playing with them at the park or trampoline park, and snuggling on the couch to watch Power Rangers (not her favorite thing to watch, by far.)

Kate Harrison, CMA

Optometric Technician

Kate comes from a family of medical professionals, so it's only natural for her to follow in their footsteps. After joining Wichryk Eye in March 2016, Kate worked part time to finish her degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College, and is now a full time technician and certified medical assistant. Kate enjoys all aspects of working directly with patients and is specifically interested in learning about different diseases of the eye and their treatments. While not in the office, you can find Kate outside swimming, hiking, and running. She also enjoys traveling (Israel was her last fantastic trip) and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
